
I draw inspiration from early studio portraiture, northern Renaissance painting, and film-inspired lightwork and settings that bring into high relief the psychology of her subjects. Visual and historical re-contextualization plays a crucial role in most of her work that traverses and amalgamates disparate media and time periods. Two of her recent projects are the "Tribal stories" series, a revisualization of Biblical texts, based on a study of European biblical painting, and the "Ancestors Blueprint Project", a photographic exploration of the relationship between ancestry, family history and identity.
